hvar island tour

Do you wish for an unforgettable tour of the island of Hvar and all its authentic moments? It is on this tour that you can experience the beauty of the landscape and explore the many villages that are scattered around the island and meet the locals of this area. Our trip will take you on a scenic drive along the old road that connects Stari Grad and Hvar with Veli Grablje. This area was once a major successful center for the processing of wine, olive oil, honey, and lavender oil. We will make a short stop at Vidikovac, a hill from which there is a beautiful view of the Old Town and the deepest bay on the island. For a real photo of this green frame and the authenticity of Hvar, make sure you have your camera ready to capture every moment. In addition to capturing the moment of the photo, stop for a moment and breathe in the atmosphere of the island of Hvar.

We will continue the trip with a trip through the green interior of the island, stopping in Stari Grad, one of the oldest settlements on the coast. A short walk through the old town and its colorful stone streets tell the story of the past. It was founded by the ancient Greeks in the 4th century BC. We will visit the famous Hektorović castle Tvrdalj, the Dominican monastery, the ruins of the ancient Pharos, and the church of St. John from the 5th century. We continue our excursion through the vineyards of Hora, which are under the protection of UNESCO, and at the same time the largest and most fertile field on the Adriatic islands. The area was once divided by the Greeks into smaller plots that are still visible today, which makes Hora the best-preserved Greek cadastre in the Mediterranean.

Then we arrive in Vrboska, a small town often called Little Venice. This Mediterranean gem boasts a canal-like waterfront and numerous small bridges reminiscent of the famous Italian city. Vrboska is steeped in history, including the fortified church of St. Mary of Mercy, rebuilt after the Ottoman invasion in 1571.

Driving along the sea, we head towards Jelsa, a charming Mediterranean town from the 15th century located on the northern part of the island. Along the way, we will pass villages that take your breath away because they are built in a traditional architectural style.

As the sun sets on our tour of the island of Hvar, we return to the town of Hvar on a new road along the southern side of the island. The south side has always been a beautiful and picturesque route. It is from here that you can see a number of Dalmatian islands and the clear Adriatic.
